Round-Trip Angel Island
Round-Trip Angel Island is a 10-mile (16.1-kilometer) island loop swim in San Francisco Bay: from Aquatic Park Cove, out and around Angel Island, and returning to Aquatic Park. The route crosses two major shipping channels (twice) and is predominantly cross-current.

Comments: "this is a difficult swim to do if you do not have a pilot familiar with the bay currents. bryan is the best. he picked out the best time, and the best day and it was perfect."
General Comments: "this is an iconic swim in the bay area. as a bay swimmer i always wanted to do it. again, planning for currents in the bay is crucial to the success of this swim."

Comments: "Tom was great. I was supposed to do this swim as a tandem but last minute my partner was unable to do it because of an injury. I really wanted to do it so Reptile said he would take me. He piloted a great route, cheering me on the whole way. I even passed up another very fast swimmer doing the same swim with another group that started way before me. Fortunately, Tom’s line was perfect and that allowed me to crush the swim with no issues and not a ton of extra miles added to my swim. It really showed his competency and knowledge of not only the currents and waters, but my own swimming and ability to make the swim."
